Sure, if you have an insatiable appetite for bad dates. If you’re serious about impressing your potential mates, a good place to go for a date is Revery: VR Bar.
I recently went to Revery back in March on a friend date, the most important type of them all. The building’s exterior is the color of obsidian, while the inside decor is lit up by a red neon sign that says, “It Was All A Dream.” The IWAAD sign is great photo-op, btdubbs.

Upon entrance, we were immediately welcomed by the hostess. She went over the prices and I surrendered a form of payment as collateral until we left the venue. Rooms are priced in 30 minute intervals and can hold up to 12 people. When you first get settled in a room, an employee shows you how to hold the controller and helps you adjust your headgear to fit your head. After a quick tutorial on the game list, the room is yours to enjoy. We decided to start with half an hour and add more time later if we needed to. Some of the games were a little buggy, so the manager added a few extra minutes to our initial time. I was able to shoot virtual hoops, ski cross country, out-smart trained assassins, and travel to Germany via Google Earth all before bedtime.
What sets Revery apart from the virtual reality you might experience in a AT&T store is the ambiance. You can explore new worlds without having whining toddlers ruin the mood. RVR is 21+ and has a full bar complete with locally brewed beer, prosecco, and soju. Food choices are limited to snack items like popcorn and jerky, so I would suggest planning dinner either before or afterwards. The popcorn I ate was nacho flavored, but the online menu now features kimchi as their current popcorn selection.

Overall, take your date here if you want to let loose and explore your competitive side. It’s great for first dates, second dates, and even last dates! Room rentals, drinks, and food are fairly priced, types of games offered are vast, and the atmosphere is welcoming.
